Hey, im Jared...
Hi everyone! My name is Jared, and I have been playing drums and occasionally bass for the Rock here in Fort Collins, CO for about 2 years now. A few interests that i enjoy pursuing in my free time include, but are certainly not limited to, pro audio, drumming, going to shows, snowboarding, and listening to music. To the surprise of many, i am but a mere 17 years old(I was 9 when the Rock started out here, odd... haha), and have about a year left in my highschool career. When I graduate, I hope to pursue a career as a professional musician, or in the production and engineering of music. Mabye both. Or mabye neither... Ill wait and see what God has in store for me.

Jared!
Jared is a great friend of mine and he specializes in applying wonderful double kick parts to previously non-double kick genres...like worship. He has also played a huge part in arranging many of the songs we do at the Rock and he's got an amazing ear for developing a "concept" of how he wants a song to feel and sound. You'd never know his age if you met him in person...unless you ID'd him or something. As far as the "acting like an immature high schooler in our band" job position goes...people generally leave that up to Travis, Josh and me.

Let me tell you, if a bumble bee and Jared got in a fight, Jared would probably kill it 34 times before it hit the ground with one foot on the kick! I like the word bumble. It makes me smile.

Jared, thanks for the hope you allow us to see that our paths have meant something to those who will follow. That as we lift up the Lord you see the light and are drawn to it as we were and are. There is grace in this world because you said Yes to God and there will continue to be Grace as you continue to say yes. Man it is good to see even this small glimpse of your heart. Beleiving at 17 or 14 is so much better than 30 because you CAN miss a lot of stuff that entangles others but you must be even more watchful because those snares never leave they just wait for a more opportune time (See: Jesus in the wilderness tempted by Satan). Great Grace to you my brother call the double to Worship with feet and hands!

Im pretty sure that coolness has nothing to do with it. I think its just people like you, Stevo, who keep bumping the thread back to the top of the list and therefore people keep posting things on it.
