Hi Im Cory Ridenhower
hey my name is cory and i am here to tell you a little about myself. i started going to church at valley view in columbia, mo in the fall of 2006. i was going through some really difficult changes at the time and i thought it sounded like something i might want to try. so i did...
and now im a believer...
im an electrician by trade.ive been doing it for about two years now. for me it is a very satisfying career.its the first time in my life i have ever been happy about what i do for a living.
when i was offered the opportunity to be involved with the music team and running sound i was excited. i just knew that it was what i was supposed to do. besides, the technical side of music is just an extension of electrical work anyway.
ever since i started this i dont listen to music the same anymore. i just hear it differently, if that makes any sense to you. doing sound really helps me appreciate music so much more. just in the short time ive been doing this i have learned so much more than i would have ever expected to. when i first started running the board i had help for the first few weeks and then i was flying solo. i really had no idea what i was doing! it was pretty scary but i think it paid off. in the past 18 months God has really shown me that he is real and that he loves me no matter what. for that i am forever greatful.
